Why We Need to Reform Our Government

I have been lately posting on Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus on the importance of reforming our federal government. There is a good reason to do so, and it is the reason we got our nation to begin with.

 

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

 

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. Did you know that the singers of the Declaration of Independence suffered in the hands of the Colonial British Government (www.constitution.org/bio/fate_of_signers.htm)? How much more do we need to suffer in the hands of the ones running ours today in the 21st century? Why do the ones after us have to suffer by us not doing anything about this corruption? We are given the power and right to change our government when deemed necessary. After all, that is how we became the United States of America in 1776.

 

If that does not convince you enough, then how well do you understand the history of mankind (http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/origins-the-journey-of-humankind/videos/into-the-unknown1/)? The host of this show, Jason Silva, said, “Where you are going is just as important as how you plan to get there.” There might not be any United States of America if humankind did not set up to explore the other side of the unknown. You or I may not have been born. Think about that for a moment. Who may live or not by what we decide on reforming our federal government. We all know about the “Hero’s Journey” if we realize it or not. Many novels, movies, and ideas branched out due to it. I am sure you can name a few right off the bat.

 

If you understand anything about the history of the Vikings, you will come to realize, they explored a great deal of our planet. They came to what we call the North American Continent long before Columbus. Did you know that China did also? All this may not have happened if it were not for a modern piece of technology—the compass. There is a whole lot more to why it is so important in reforming our government today of the United States of America.

 

One of the greatest minds of humankind was named, Albert Einstein. He wrote a beautiful letter to his daughter about the ultimate power of the universe. How come he knew this? He was born in downtown Hitler hell during WWII. He had to fight for his “unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” as our Founding Fathers had done for our nation. If he did not, then no one would have known that famous equation, “E=mc2.” We must fight for our unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

 

How many know anything about a woman by the name of Marie Tharp? If it were not for her, none of us might have known anything about plate tectonics and continental drift. Don’t believe me? Would you believe me only 5% of our ocean floor has been discovered? There tons more that could have been lost through the sands of time if it were not for human explorations.

 

The Dark Age and the abusive power of the Church could have destroyed all we know and have today. That is why science recently hit the streets in their recent protests of the scientific explorations and technology we have today. We need to do more. We need to replace/reform of status quo in our federal government of these United States of America as our Founding Fathers had done to create this nation.
