We Can Do It

“The great blessing of mankind are within us and within our reach; but we shut our eyes, and like people in the dark, we fall foul upon the very thing we search for, without finding it.” by Lucius Annaeus Seneca

This is why I attack the media press/news.  Life is not or never was a dystopia.  In reality, both utopia and dystopia never meant to be a reality.  The Greeks knew this.  It is shameful people today don't.  The word 'utopia' means, (from the Greek) UO, meaning not and TOPOS, meaning place.  That is right, it is a place that does not exist.  Dystopia —> DYS, meaning bad; that means a bad place that does not exist.  The media press (which should never be called journalism) is controlled by five huge corporate elite groups.

"Globally, large media conglomerates include Bertelsmann, National Amusements (ViacomCBS), Sony Corporation, News Corp, Comcast, The Walt Disney Company, AT&T Inc., Fox Corporation, Hearst Communications, MGM Holdings Inc., Grupo Globo (South America), and Lagardère Group[4][5][6]" (https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Concentration_of_media_ownership).

Journalism is meant to be a discipline of hardworking organized system that is detached from the story in order to give the best factual information to the mass public.  When we were given the Internet/World Wide Web (WWW) around 1990-1, we learned very quickly, they were not truthful as they should have been.  It is not the point of making mistakes but the lack of integrity in such a huge responsibility.  As François-Marie Arouet, known by his nom de plume Voltaire said, "With great power, comes great responsibility."

As we have learned, Trump Organization is basically Donald Trump, the members of the Republican Party that willfully obeys Trump on the dime, will fall with him.  The quote above was written/said by Lucius Annaeus Seneca was many, many years before we got the Preamble of the Constitution of the United States of America.  Today, every American is part of it — WE THE PEOPLE.  When we are ignorant of our Republic [not or ever was a Democracy], we can't fight to keep it.  As a lady asked Ben Franklin, "What did you give us, sir?"  He answered, "A Republic, ma'am if you can keep it."  Ignorance is not or ever was bliss.

What is the difference in a Republic and Democracy?  Until every American understands this, the corruption of Donald Trump, the Republican Party, the corporate elite, and all the rest will take it all from us.  Americans today does not understand suffering.  They are too complacent in their personal lives to give a damn about the war with the corporate elite since day one.  If I were to bet that most Americans don't know anything about the Declaration of Independence and/or the Constitution of the United States of America, to my utmost shame, I would be the richest man in America.

Despite the hype you listen/read about voting suppression, every American (of the age of 18 or older) can vote.  It is another smoke screen of a falsehood of a bad place that never existed in the damn first place.  Even with the 2020 Election, the voting turnout was too damn low.  If America wants new voting laws, gun reform, environmental control laws, an infrastructure law that will make it possible for all Americans to live in the 21st century and beyond, and all the other necessities, then we all need to vote out every member of the Republican Party.  It cannot get simpler than this!
