What makes a good leader?

“For I believe a good king is from the outset and by necessity a philosopher, and the philosopher is from the outset a kingly person.”

How many have said to some extent, "If I were President of the United States of America (or any government or leadership position), I would have done a better job?"  The question we should ask ourselves, "What make a good leader?"

It is why we have so many failing in our government [local, State, or federal].  It is not easy to think under pressure.  When any of us are in the hot seat, we find out, it is more difficult than we could ever imagine. Why few can lead.  If you don't want to play follow the leader with the lawmakers e have in office, there is only one solution.  VOTE THEM OUT!  Once we have them in office, that is what we have until they are removed.  As the old saying goes, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."  What we do as civilians will make all the difference how the world turns.

Nothing is done overnight.  We did not get in this political mess, yesterday.  Who is the blame then?  Let me give a tiny history lesson, and we may find out.  About 1760, the industrial age began.  On July 4, 1776, and September 17, 1787, the United States of America began.  We have been at war with the 1% elite since day one.  Between WWI, WWII, and (erroneously called) The Cold War, the total time was 77 years of war — with just a few years between them.  This war with the 1% elite has been going on to this very day.  It was not coincidence that NAFTA became law just three years after that directly and immediately destroyed good high-end paying jobs of nearly 900,000 (https://www.epi.org/publication/briefingpapers_bp147).

Before NAFTA, we had a surplus of over $4.5 billion (The Wonderful World of NAFTA (Part 1/2)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnVL0d9fwkY).  Now we have a deficit that is falling at an alarming rate (https://www.usdebtclock.org/).  As far as I am concerned, no job growth can fill in this deep growing hole until we replace many of the leaders in our federal capital building.

What make a good leader?  One who puts integrity and humility above all else.  That person should take all responsibilities for the actions taken.  That person should work for the people of the United States of America than trying to police the world.  I could go on for hours typing in all the little nuances, but without the right leadership skills, nothing good will be done.
